AHD Daily — The Door That Locks Itself Edition

Good morning from All Hype Digital.
Last month we audited a site for a DMV service business whose contact form had not sent an email since April. Four months. The page said thank you every single time. The owner had no idea, because the website looked completely fine. It always does.
That is the thing about website failures. They do not announce themselves. Nobody calls to tell you their message never arrived. They just assume you are not interested and hire the next name on Google. You never see the invoice for that.
The whole fix takes 15 minutes a week

Not a redesign. Not an audit. A routine, on the calendar, with a timer running. Today’s post walks through the full SOP minute by minute, but if you only do one part of it, do this one:
Open your site on your phone, on cell data, in a private window. Then tap your own phone number and see if it dials. Submit your own contact form with the word “test” and then go check your inbox to confirm the email actually landed. Click your booking link and make sure it opens to real availability.
Three minutes. That is the test that finds the four month dead form. Most owners have never once done it, because they only ever see their website logged in, on a desktop, on office wifi. That is not the version your customers get.
Then answer one question
How many leads did your website produce last week? If you are guessing, that is the second leak. A tracking tool like WhatConverts ties every call and form back to where it came from, so instead of a feeling you get a number, and after eight weeks you get a trend line. That trend line is what tells you to stop spending Tuesday nights posting to a channel that has never sent you a customer.
Do this today

Put a recurring 15 minute block on Monday mornings and call it Website Check. Then run the three money paths this morning before you do anything else. If the form is broken, you just found the most profitable fifteen minutes of your month.
One rule when you run it: fix one thing, write down the rest. The routine dies the week it turns into a redesign project.
